cybercrimes. The field of cybercrime is still in its infancy, and new ways of committing
crimes online are becoming more prevalent every day. Cybercrimes against people

categories into which they can be broadly subdivided.
As cybercrime is evolving daily and with expanding cyberlaws more work must be done to build the appropriate legal framework for regulating and combating cybercrime. Currently, there isn’t a single comprehensive cybercrime legislation in existence anywhere in the globe. These different cybercrimes lie under the umbrella of Internet law that, in certain nations, is not entirely nor completely covered by the current laws. In India, the IT Act 2000 and some sections of IPC govern crimes in the cyber space.
You need to report to the law enforcement agencies, you can complaint to the nearest jurisdiction police station if you are a victim of cyber crime. If financial scam has occurred you can report immediately to the Bank to initiate investigation and check for a possibility of refund. It is important to keep all forms of proofs you may have related to your complaint. Such proof may include: Debit / Credit Card Receipt, Bank statement, Courier Traking Numbers, Online money Transfer Receipt, Email, SMS, WhatsApp Chats, URL of webpage, Other Chat transcripts on portals, Mobile Number, Videos, Images, any other kind of electronic or physical document.
The police at times looking at the complaint may not immediately register the FIR. In such instance, you can approach the court and file a PCR directing the Police to register the FIR provided you have strong evidence that you are a victim of Cyber cime.
